If your French translator is lagging due to the famous vacance, getting help from ICanLocalize is now easier than ever.
Just to be clear, we’re not talking only about French translators. ICanLocalize has a pool of over 1000 translators, writing in more than 30 languages.
Until this release, getting professional translation was a bit awkward. You have to create an account, complete a setup process and wait for translator to apply. Well, no longer.
Now, you can easily get translators when you need them and for whatever you need them – quickly and easily.
You’ll see a get translators link between each language pair you’re translating.
Click on it and you’ll see the translators in ICanLocalize (in that language pair). You can view their profiles, rating and current work-load. Then, invite the ones you like.
For instance, our top German translators:
Translators you’ve invited can apply to translate your site and you can accept their applications. Then, all you need to do is send the contents to translation and deposit payment.
WPML will take care of sending the originals and returning the translations. It also keeps track of what’s translated already, what’s new and what’s changed (and needs update).
The fun part about how it works now is that there’s no setup wizard, no steps to complete, no account to fill in – nothing. Just choose your translators and get started.
Bugs Fixed in WPML 1.8.1
Like in every release, we do our best to hunt down bugs and fix them. This release fixes a few bugs which affected menu translation. The bugs appeared in certain configurations so you might have noticed them or not. These are the same bugs we talked about in the previous post about WPML 1.8.1 RC1.

The warning problem in admin panel disappeared
But the problem with the navigation remain
My default language is Armenian, there are also English and Russian
In the English and Russian part it is impossible to go in Older Posts links
Look what i get

I am getting this error inside the admin of the pages and posts page from a website I am building
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/menu/post-menu.php on line 80
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/modules/icl-translation/icl-translation-functions.php on line 10
Hi, I just updated WPML on a site (not online until now)
Now I have this message on all post and sites in the top right corner in backend?
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/torwie/habitmanager.info/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/menu/post-menu.php on line 80
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/torwie/habitmanager.info/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/modules/icl-translation/icl-translation-functions.php on line 10
All functions are okay as far as I see, but this message look dangerous!
Hi, I have the same problem, only that in my case it’s not a warning it’s and error and I can’t edit any page now.
I have reverted to 1.8.1 dev and all is ok.
Thanks. Looks like something we missed. We’ll try to fix that with another quick release today.
What is the error Horia?
Thanks for your feedback. This was also reported on the forum. There’s a version attached there with the fixes that will officially released shortly.
I just wanted to ask – how long do you think it will be before you release a version that supports custom taxonomies much like you now support custom menus?
Custom taxonomies are supported right now. To enable their translation, go to ‘Advanced mode’ and click on WPML->Translation sync to configure.
I have just one question:
How can I have or Add language. In the linguage list there is no mine. I want to add Azerbaijani language.
How can I do it???

Look at screenshot, please
It’s a bit of a problem. You will need to complete the setup wizard before you can edit the languages.
Choose some other language (like English) and complete the wizard. Then, click on ‘Edit languages’ and add Azerbaijani. Also make it the default language.
Next, you will need to change the language of existing contents from English to Azerbaijani. If there are just a few posts, you can edit them each and change back the language. If you have more, you’ll need to run an SQL query for that.
I have just intalled plug in…… there is no article…

Is it enough to have an Azeri language with permalink /az ?
I have one more question:
Does this WMPL trunslate widgets items…. I mean titles and content of ones.
Yes, it does.
Amir: “Custom taxonomies are supported right now. To enable their translation, go to ‘Advanced mode’ and click on WPML->Translation sync to configure.”
You’re right I saw that after I wrote it. But still, terms aren’t linked together like posts and menu items when they’re translated.
This is a problem, because when translating a new post that belongs to a category in say english to german for example, the translator will have to manually select the german category that corresponds to the english. And here he might choose the wrong category.
The best option would be to link the terms together across languages just like you did with menu items and posts. This would also enable you to improve the admin interface when translating posts, so that when creating a new translation, the correct categories would already be selected.
Do you have this functionality underway?
Disappointed that this easy-to-fix bug hasn’t been addressed:
http://forum.wpml.org/topic.php?id=1758
Sorry for our delay response. We have added it to our internal list bugs. Hopefully this fixed will be added into the next release. Thanks.
Thanks, just installed the WPML 1.8.1.1. now everything is fine, no errors anymore:-)
