Translation Process
WPML automates everything, letting translators concentrate on translation only and freeing you from multilingual content management.
Our system extracts all text from the HTML. Translators edit the text using our graphical editor without ever touching HTML code. Then, we generate the translated web page and return to WordPress.
In the process, we also make sure that the translations fit right in and that you never need to spend time editing them. This includes:
- Adjusting all links between pages, so that translated pages link to other translated pages (and not to the originals).
- Creating custom fields if you’re using them.
- Synchronizing page and category hierarchies.
- Publishing translations when you publish the originals.
- Lots of other small things you need to do otherwise…
