I am trying to:
The e-shop is maintained in English (EN) and Montenegrin (MNE) languages. English is a main one. The problem below is detected in MNE layout only.
Several categories are created, including 'Bicycles' (MNE - 'Bicikla') and 'Accessories' (MNE - 'Dodaci')
Each product is linked to few categories, for example:
1/ 'Junior bicycle BBF ATB Outrider 24/36/D. Color: white'
The product is assigned with categories 'ALL PRODUCTS', 'BICYCLES', 'JUNIOR / KIDS' and ''REGULAR'
(see 'product 1' image)
2/ 'Hand bicycle pump LEZYNE LITE DRIVE HP S ABS 160psi. Length 180 mm. Color: silver'
The product is assign with 'ALL PRODUCTS', 'ACCESSORIES' and 'PUMPS' (see 'product 2' image)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see:
When I pressed 'Bicikla' menu (see image 1) I expect to see all products with assigned category 'Bicycles' (MNE - 'Bicikla').

Instead, I got:
Products which are not assigned with 'Bicycles' (MNE - 'Bicikla') category are displayed (see image 2) in the particular category
The same issue is detected for another categories and products as well. The problem valid for MNE language only, products are displayed properly in EN.

Hello,

I would like to review the current content, translations and settings to get a better idea of the cause of this issue.

Please provide me temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site. It would be better for a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “All In One WP Migration” on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT

Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

The steps are also shown in this video: hidden link

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

The issue appears to be solved once we set the post type products not to use the setting "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language"

Seems if fallback is enabled, we will see the mixed categories, but if you use "Translatable
use translation if available or fallback to default language" the issue does not persist.

I hope this is an applicable solution for you.

Let me know if you do have further questions.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello Andreas,
Thank you for suggestion, a part of the issues is covered by setting up "Translatable - use translation if available or fallback to default language".
However, a part of products are still displayed in wrong categories - please find examples below.
Example 1 (20220508_pict1.jpg).
Category 'Bicycles': product from 'Accessories' / 'Pumps' is displayed

Example 2: (20220508_pict2.jpg)
Category 'Junior/Kid's balance bicycles': Products from 'Junior/Kid's Regular' and 'Women MTB' bicycles are displayed

Hi,

Andreas is not available today so I'll continue to handle this ticket. I hope that it is alright with you.

I've read the entire thread and I think a misunderstanding has occurred here. Andreas my colleague wrote:

Andreas made a mistake and he wanted to ask you to switch to Products post type in WPML -> Settings -> Post Type Translation to 'Translatable only show translated items'. Currently, I can see that it is still on 'Translatable use translation if available or fallback to default language'. Please see the attached screenshot.

Can you please switch Products to be only translatable and check if the problem persists?

If you need more help from us please share the Debug information of your site.
You can read a detailed explanation about it here.
http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support
The debug info will give us a lot of information about how your site is configured and will help us understand the source of the problem.

Regards,
Itamar.
