We worked closely with folks from Elegantthemes to make all their themes compatible with WPML plugin. We’re very happy to say that now they all are compatible.

Each theme includes a configuration file that tells it what needs translation so you’ll be able to translate all the special features such as SEO custom fields (home title, description and keywords), sliders, quotes, date format and more.

All small texts that come from the theme back-end and front-end can be translated too.

How can we make WPML better for you?

  1. Theme Gleam is not compatible 100%. (TESTED)
There is an error in the theme, Homepage not showing in other languages different from the default.

    • We’ll need to handle it. Can you please start a thread in our technical forum and mention that it’s for Dominykas? Explain what you’re seeing and we’ll work on it with ET authors.

  2. Elegantthemes “Nimble” is not on the list. Is Nimble now compliant? Previously in Nimble, the text paired with the homepage slider could not be translated.

    • ElegantThemes team have updated their framework to work with WPML, so all themes should be WPML-compatible now. We haven’t tested all themes, but it should be OK.

Make sure that the theme you are using is new, or was updated in the last 2 months, so it includes the new framework.

      • Thanks a lot. I did get it figured out – I needed to put both posts in both languages. I’m still going to open a thread there, though, ’cause the menus are translating wrong. Thanks!
