Resolved

Resolved in: WPML 4.1.2

Overview of the issue

This issue may occur sometimes with a page builder and the translation editor where some translations fields could be missing. As a consequence, when the translation job is saved, the missing blocks will be replaced by the original ones.

If you have the addon WPML Media Translation active on your site, please consult this errata: Cannot edit page builder translations with the native WordPress editor.

Workaround

The workaround is to refresh the translation job and we have 2 options for this:

  • Option 1: Make a minor change in the original page and update it => You should see a “spin” icon to open the translation job instead of the “pencil”. This means that the translation job will be refreshed and all the fields should appear.
  • Option 2: Go to WPML -> Translation Management, complete the wizard and send the document to translation from the dashboard. This will also force to refresh the translation job.

  1. Hello

when I am changed post order ASC to DESC then website work properly in default language but not work in the second language.

  2. can you please let me know how can I fix it using WPML

I am deselected page and poet ordering from configure but it’s not working.

      • Yes, I did. No help.

And the difference from my issue to that issue here is, that the translation is overridden with an older translation and not the text from the original post.

I would appreciate if someone could have look at my issue after two days, because we are stuck and can not work without loosing the work from before. Thanks.

        • Thanks for the feedback. Please add a comment in your support ticket to mention that the workaround from this errata did not work. Your request will be handled in short.

  3. Is there already a working fix for this issue? The translated content get overwritten by the original content everytime I hit save. Using WPBakery Page Builder – this is really a nightmare.. 🙁

  4. This is still not working.

After pasting in the shortcode into the text page builder and clicking update it reverts back to the English contact form shortcode on any of the foreign language version of our Contact Us Page.

    Page: https://www.redbudindustries.com/contact/
Spanish Contact Form Shortcode [contact-form-7 id=”14455″ title=”contact us (Spanish)”]
German Contact Form Shortcode [contact-form-7 id=”14462″ title=”contact us (German)”]
Russian Contact Form Shortcode [contact-form-7 id=”14458″ title=”contact us (Russian)”]

  5. Same thing here.
none of the work arounds works. Also WPML+WP Bakery.
If i look in the revision pages nothing different there but on the front end the page sows in the original language.

Can anyone explain this? we use to rely on WPML for years.
Not happy at all with spontaneous changes that affects my clients.
