Layouts plugin is almost ready and we are looking for brave volunteers for a last and final usability testing session. If you want to have a preview into Layouts and leave your mark on the project, let us know.

Layouts lets you design pages and templates using a drag-and-drop interface. It works with the Bootstrap grid and (we think that) is a great way to develop responsive WordPress sites quickly.

About a month ago, we did the first usability review. The results were amazing and eye opening. We feel that this review helped push the project from ‘nice’ to ‘great’. On Friday morning, Europe time, this week, we are doing the second and final usability review for Layouts, before its launch.

The review takes 50 minutes. During this time, we sit together (using Google Hangout) and see you use the plugin. To compensate you for your time, we will be issuing complementary Toolset accounts ($149 value) to the test participants. This account will include all existing Toolset plugins, as well as Layouts, when it’s released.

  1. Hey, I’d love to help you test this. I’ve used the Bootstrap grid in many WordPress projects – the thought of constructing a grid from the WP admin looks very interesting!

  2. Sounds like a great plugin! As a former graphic designer I like tweaking the looks of my siteand although I know a bit of code and php, it’s not enough to do what I’d reallywant to. So yes, count me in please!

  3. Hi, I would love to participate in your testing. I am in the US, can you please let me know how will your time translate to the US Eastern Standard Time? Thanks!

  4. I just sent a reply with my mobile phone, but I do not see it here. Excuses if it comes in twice! I’d love to try this plugin, seems very handy to me as a former graphic designer, I always want to change how things look on my site, but I lack the knowledge of php to do it properly and it costs me a hell lot of time!

  5. Hi Folks

Any chance I can learn more and help you at the same time.

New to alot of this wordpress management, so you will be getting an Idiots Guide Response 🙂

    Obviously I am a constructive idiot 🙂

    Let me know sure….

    Many Thanks
    C

  6. I am willing to participate in the test.

I have been developing similar functionality in my WordPress themes using the Advanced Custom Fields and its Flexible Content plugin. I am very curious to find out how this works.
