Hi, I am trying to change the assigned translator after the job has been assigned + opened already. I tried following the instructions on this post: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/admins-editors-to-view-translations-in-progress/, but the WPML > Translation Management > Translations Jobs page no longer has the dropdown box that will change the assigned translator. Do you know if there is something wrong / I didn't do on my end or has WPML changed this?
What I'm really trying to do with all this is create a translation job, then open the job and mark the fields that I don't want translated as completed (I don't want to translate the entire page), then assign the job to the translator (not me). Is there a better way to accomplish this than the one I outlined?
Thank you for contacting us. The option to change the translator (or assignment) is in the "Translated by" column. I'll attach an image for you to see.
This option is only available if the translation is assigned to "First Available" in the "Translation Basket" tab.
If necessary, you must re-submit the content for translation and then select the desired translator.
Please, let me know if I can help with any other questions you may have about it. I'll be happy to help.
Hello Bruno,
Thank you for your reply, but my question was how do you reassign a translation to someone else job once its been opened. I found a solution to what I was trying to do in my original post though.
What I'm really trying to do with all this is create a translation job, then open the job and mark the fields that I don't want translated as completed (I don't want to translate the entire page), then assign the job to the translator (not me). Is there a better way to accomplish this than the one I outlined?
To accomplish this I just make the job unassigned, go to WPML > Translations, open the translation and mark the fields that I don't want translated as complete, click "back to list", resign, and then assign the translation to the end translator.
