Hi,
I have a site with 3 languages versions, all by folder. So we have vca-talen.nl, vca-talen.nl/pl and vca-talen.nl/en.
I would like to control how my language versions are indexed and submit a sitemap as per instructions I found:
hidden link
I am using Yoast SEO premium to create a sitemap.
Can you please advice how to get from this:
hidden link
To something that has links like this:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<urlset xmlns="hidden link"
xmlns:xhtml="hidden link">
<url>
<loc>hidden link;
<xhtml:link
rel="alternate"
hreflang="de"
href="hidden link"/>
<xhtml:link
rel="alternate"
hreflang="de-ch"
href="hidden link"/>
<xhtml:link
rel="alternate"
hreflang="en"
href="hidden link"/>
</url>
</urlset>
Will Yoast SEo multilingual help?
Best,
Anna

Hi,

Second tier replied:

WPML already adds 'hreflang' to the page as HTML tags.
So there is no need to add this in sitemaps.

So you can just ignore this.
This will not affect your SEO.
