This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
I am trying to get as close to 100% consistency of font sizes and weights when translating English to Chinese. Instead I got lots of inconsistencies occur especially in the title.

Solution:
This seems to be related to the font and the weight that you're using. Things are looking better when decreasing the font weight. In this case, change change the font to a most common one (like Open Sans), and the text should look better this time.

I am trying to: Get as close to 100% consistency of font sizes and weights when translating English to Chinese.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

I expected to see: Screenshot attached (Chrome01) of what you see immediately after you click on the Chinese text on this page, almost perfect display of the Chinese text.

Instead, I got: Then after 1 or 2 seconds the view changes suddenly to attached screenshot Chrome02, lots of inconsistencies occur especially in the title. Has anybody seen this happen before? Does anybody have any tips as to what the cause might be?

Hey,

I think that this might be related to the font and the weight that you're using. Things seems to be looking better when decreasing the font weight (see the attached screenshot).

In this case, could you try, just for a test, to change the font, and see if things look better, please? Instead of using cwTeXFangSong, you can try Open Sans, for example. Please let me know how this goes.

Thanks,
Radu

Thanks for getting back to me Radu with your simple and excellent suggestion. That completely worked and I'm now getting pretty much getting 100% text consistency. It had been really bugging me so thanks again, much appreciated!
