WordPress Block Editor allows you to save any content block and reuse it later in other pages. WPML allows you to easily translate these reusable blocks.

You can translate reusable blocks with or without using the WPML Translation Management.

Translating without Translation Management

If you are not using WPML’s Translation Management, click the plus icon for a post or a page that has reusable blocks you want to translate.

A translation job will be created for every reusable block on that page. Translation job will not be created if a block is already translated or waiting for a translator.

Translators will see a notice with links to these translation jobs, as displayed in the following image.

Translating using Translation Management

If you are using Translation Management, go to the WPMLTranslation Management page and send your page or a post for translation. You can choose between translating it automatically or by yourself. If there is more than one translator on your site, you can assign the translation to a translator.

Sending a post and the reusable blocks to translation

If you have multiple translators on your site, all reusable blocks will be added to the Translation Basket. Translation jobs for a reusable block will not be created if a block is already translated or waiting for a translator.

If needed, you can remove jobs related to reusable blocks from the Translation Basket.

The translator will be notified about the reusable block jobs in the same way as for any other translation job.
