I can see that you have version 4.5.8 but you mentioned it's an old WPML installation. how old it was before you upgraded it to 4.5.8? (what version) When you have very old versions like say version 3 or 4.1, then you need to follow this procedure to safely update it to the latest version: https://wpml.org/errata/updating-wpml-in-a-secure-way-from-a-very-old-version/ If you jumped from an old version to a new one, then that might be why you started having some of the issues. You might also want to try this:https://wpml.org/errata/updating-wpml-in-a-secure-way-from-a-very-old-version/ Try it out and let me know how it goes. |

hey Alejandro, I didn't make myself clear enough, my apologies. The WPML installation was very regularly updated, like 3 times a year since 2016. But when first installed back then, we didn't need to enter any registration. |

To continue, I'll need temporary access to your site so i can take a look at your site and try to understand better if there's something wrong or missing. I won't make any change, i'll be "read-only" for now, it's just to have a better understanding of our next steps. I have just activated the appropriate boxes for the credential information i need from you. they are private so only you and i will be able to see them. I suggest you create a temporary user, set it as an administrator and then add those credentials in the fields mentioned above. |

The proble here has nothing to do with WPML as it seems. you seem to have the entire "plugins" page disabled and also its "child" pages such as the "commercial" page of ours. you can try to access the page here if you have a way to manage the permissions of your user or override the rules you have for this page: site.com/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=commercial If you try to do it right now, though, the system will say you don't have permissions, unless your user is less restricted than the one you gave me. Regards. |

It's very likely if it hides the plugins section. in here the problem is just that WordPress is restricted to not show anything from the plugin pages, and i guess those permissions exted to everything "within" those pages. Our "commercial" tab, is in the "add new plugin" section which is a subsite from the plugins page which something is restricting 🙂 You can try to define it as explained here, at this point: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/i-cant-enable-this-plugin-on-a-dev-env/#post-11023089 Just make sure to check WPML > Support > Installer log afterwards and check if the registration is successful or not. Regards. |
