Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that all links on my site, including those in the menu and on pages, are translated. Specifically, the link الرابط المخفي on the /nl/ folder should redirect to الرابط المخفي. Additionally, I want automatic redirection to الرابط المخفي when visiting الرابط المخفي, as this is set as the default language. I have used a redirection plugin to achieve this.

Symptoms:
The 'translate link targets' button does not change anything. Links are not translated as expected, and there is no automatic redirection to the default language.

Questions:
Why are the links not being translated?
Why is there no automatic redirection to the default language?
