Hello Andrey,

We are in version 4.6.10 and now the ATE does not even load on Mozilla/Firefox/Chrome. It keeps loading and loading, but does not get to open it.

We run WPML on 2 sites and having the same issue in both (so it must be a general issue).

Regards,

Jorge

Can you please confirm if everything, including plugins and WordPress, is up to date? I also couldn't load the screenshot you uploaded earlier. Could you please upload new screenshots showing the issue?

All plugins and WordPress are up to date.

There is not much to show, I am afraid. Just all boxes/elements trying to load, and they do not.

The screenshot shows what we get when we try to open the ATE.

Thanks Andrey

I need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site – preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible – in order to be of better help. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

We have received reports indicating that clearing the cache on both the server and browser can help resolve the issue. Would you please attempt this?

Hello Andrey,

The ATE opens now, but:

The the left side of the screen does not move when translating

The Top bar is not sticky

The progress bar does not show unsave percentage

Here a video where you can see all this hidden link

Thanks for the update. I still need to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site, preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated, to be of better help. Please provide the page where I can check.

Previously, your colleagues provided a sandbox where I could replicate the issues. We prefer to try and do it that way, to begin with, as we don´t have a test site. Is that possible?

Thanks

Here everything replicated hidden link

The only thing I do not mention in the video is the top bar not being sticky, so that I can, for example, open the page in English (clicking on the button that is a square with and arrow) without scrolling all the way up every time

Thank

Thank you, Jorge, for the update. We recently updated the WPML Advanced Translation Editor so you can see UI changes. I will consult our team about the important things you mentioned and keep you informed.

Thank you Andrey!

In the cases explained the changes seem to be a step backward for productivity and accesibility for our translators. Hopefully, they will reconsider the changes.

Thank you very much for your help and patience.

Regards,

Jorge

I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you. I want to assure you that we are always working hard to improve our services and add new features to WPML.

The staging site I provided uses an entirely new UI, which seems to solve the issues you reported earlier. Could you please take a look and give your feedback?

Hello Andrey,

Happy to have a look at the new interface.

Sticky header is great.

I like the new option to edit links

Progress bar colours... I would need to have credits to be able to translate automatically and see if it works as before.

Regarding manual translation, when saving elements, it does not close the window automatically. Closing every element after translation is very time-consuming.

Also, you can open different elements at the same time which can be a bit confusing when translating (it might be that there is a reason for this that I am missing?)

Ideally, when one element is translated and save, the editor should move to the following element automatically, and only one element be open at a time. Also, ideally, if I am translating an element that is at the bottom of the screen, that element should move up, otherwise we have to scroll down to save the element.

Have a good day,

Jorge
