I am trying to:

I use Cloudflare as CDN through WP Rocket but it is only working on the primary language. Secondary language is only being served from my own server.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:

Both images being loaded from CDN, and also all other static files.

Instead, I got:

All static images being loaded from CDN in primary language and being loaded from server on secondary languages.

Hello,
Thank you for contacting WPML support.

I'm not sure this is caused by WPML, however I will consult our specialists about this issue.

Could you tell me if you have contacted Cloudflare/WP Rocket support service already?

Kind regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

No I didn't contact Cloudflare/Wp Rocket yet as the CDN is working on the original language and with the popup plugin. So cloudflare works but I don't know if it is WPML or WP Rocket.

Hi Carlos,

I recieved an update, they know the issue but it has no priority as there are little requests to fix it (probably because people are not aware it is not working on the secondary domains). It actually is more important to have the CDN working on the secondary domains as their visitors usually are geographically further away than the visitors to the primary domain:

Hi John,

Romain from WP Rocket here.

We have a Github issue about this: hidden link

While we can see some value in this, we haven't had many requests for this, so it's not a top priority for us at this time. You can follow the Github issue to see when updates are made.

The only alternative here is to configure WPML in multisite and use WP Rocket on each sub-site with a CDN option for each sub-domain.

Let me know if you need any further assistance, I am happy to help. 🙂

Best Regards,

Hi John,

As you can see from their answer, this issue is on their side, so there is no much more we can do in this situation. I think his recommendation of using a Multi-site make some sense, although is not the best solution.

Note: I'm still waiting an answer from our specialists.

Best regards,
Carlos

Hi John,

I'm sorry for the delayed answer. I consulted our specialists about this issue and as the authors of the plugin is aware of the problem and is going to fix it then there is no need to report to our compatibility team.

Thank you very much for your patience and understanding.
Regards,
Carlos
