This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
Can I use WPML directly with those services, with an API key? I already pay and have an API for Google Translate, and would like to use with WPML

Solution:
It is not possible to use your own API key for Google Translate or DeepL. WPML integrates with them directly and includes additional features as part of the Advanced Translation Editor feature.

Regarding this topic https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/how-to-change-automatic-translation-engines/ I tried to find the options to Google Translator or DeepL but could not find it.

My doubt is: Can I use WPML directly with those services, with an API key? I already pay and have an API for Google Translate, and would like to use with WPML

Hi there.

Sorry for the delayed response - it has been a full queue for the past few days and it can take a bit longer to respond.

If you want to use those services with your own API, you will need to have a custom implementation.

The way things work with what we have in place is that you select the translation services priority (or leave only the one that you want to use enabled) and your system will use that translation service for you, without you having to enter the API keys and all of that. Our plugin is already connected to those services.

I hope that you will find this information helpful 🙂
