What is the best way to restrict user access to the backend by language? As an example, I have an editor user that I want to only be able to access the Spanish site. How can I achieve that?

Hello,

Right now, it seems there is no way to restrict the languages per user.

Only option similar to this that WPML has is:

- Hide languages (WPML > Languages)
- restricting translation language for translator (WPML > Translation Management > Translation Roles)

But I think that won't work for you, only way I see is custom work or try following our suggestion and using Toolset Access addon, then adjust permission as per your need:

- https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-to-use-access-plugin-to-create-editors-for-specific-language/

I hope I was helpful. Don't hesitate to ask if you find any problems along the way, I'll gladly help you.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
