So again: the string transpation does not seem mto work. the strings are found, I translated but nothing is shown. I tried enabling Look for strings while pages are rendered as i imagine it was written in the initial asnwer , because it was not enable, yes it found a few mor strings nut i dont care now for those. The footer blocks are still not translated. Astra is the theme.

I tried so far: https://wpml.org/errata/in-some-cases-some-strings-are-not-translating-properly/ and this https://wpml.org/forums/topic/string-translation-only-working-w-look-for-strings-while-pages-are-rendered/ and https://wpml.org/forums/topic/issues-with-string-translation-not-showing/

while I ammodifying the text of the original text, this appears very reliable in the strin original text. Only the translation is not showin in any way.

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay in answering, as we are currently handling a high amount of support requests.

Please check WPML > Support > WordPress for the WP Memory Limit. If the value is less than 128M the issue might be memory related.

You will need to adjust the WP Memory Limit inside your wp-config.php file in this case:
hidden link

Further, are you using Widgets inside your footer?

If so, and changing the memory limit and retranslating the strings did not solve the issue, then please try to create one widget per language as a solution.

Guide:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-widgets/#using-different-widgets-for-different-languages

Let me know if further assistance is needed.

Best regards
Andreas
