Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML with a custom theme on my website versteckter Link. I have used this feature on other websites with purchased themes, where links like /?page_id=10 would automatically show the page in the correct language, such as Italian if I am visiting the site in Italian. I am currently using a custom theme and encountering issues.

Symptoms:
When I use a link like /?page_id=10, the page displayed is in English instead of the expected Italian.

Questions:
Why are the translated pages not displaying correctly with my custom theme?
Do I need to use gettext like _e( '/?page_id=10', 'my-domain' ); for custom themes?
