Karim Aziz\u2019s company Globe Car & Truck Rentals<\/a> is launching a new website and needed to translate its content. It could have relied on its employees to translate it but instead, they hired a professional service.<\/p>\n

Why did you decide to hire a translation service?<\/h3>\n

We wanted our new website to be in English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Arabic. As we\u2019re in Montreal, our employees are bilingual [English and French] so we could have asked someone to do a lot of the work. But we didn\u2019t want to waste weeks doing it ourselves.<\/p>\n

We knew that relying on Google is a big no no so we decided to hire a professional. That\u2019s why we use ICanLocalize<\/a>.<\/p>\n

What is the best thing about using a translation service?<\/h3>\n

Oh, it\u2019s the speed definitely. Our translator Daniel Chenier is very quick and always meets deadlines.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no way we could have produced all those translations in such a short period of time.\u201d<\/em><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

We usually send him our content in batches of 6,000 words and it\u2019s done in three days. It would have taken weeks if we did it in-house. We\u2019d have had to juggle between our daily tasks and so on and it would have been hard to do it on the side.<\/p>\n

I think we\u2019ve translated over 100 pages so far so it\u2019s been a huge help.<\/p>\n

How accurate are the translations?<\/h3>\n

They\u2019re very accurate and in fact, the quality of the translation is a big help. To be honest it\u2019s one less thing we need to worry about. When you outsource something and know you have someone reliable I never need to follow up.<\/p>\n

It is also important to get the jargon correct. Our translator has worked with other car rental companies and his knowledge really helped. There are no discrepancies.<\/p>\n\n

What were the costs like?<\/h3>\n

It was very affordable and didn\u2019t put a strain on the company at all.<\/p>\n

The fact that it was delivered and integrated quickly using WPML<\/a> without having to manually copy and paste everything was a great help as well.<\/p>\n

What would you say to anyone who is considering using a translation service?<\/h3>\n

I\u2019d say it\u2019s a great resource which gives you one less thing to worry about. You don\u2019t need to bang your head against the wall doing it yourself. Also, it\u2019s cheap enough that it makes sense to outsource it to a professional.<\/p>\n
