See our WPML <a title=\"WPML Getting Started Guide\" href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/documentation\/getting-started-guide\/\">Getting Started Guide<\/a> for complete reference<\/li>\n<li>Install and activate one of the several plugins that can be integrated with Stitched, for the purpose of this tutorial we&#8217;ll use <a title=\"Projects by WooThems\" href=\"http:\/\/wordpress.org\/plugins\/projects-by-woothemes\/\" target=\"_blank\">Projects<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Translating the Introductory Message<\/h2>\n<p>The Stitched theme &#8218;Introductory Message&#8216; feature is a combination of the site admin\u2019s Gravatar image as well as the site tagline text. You can complete any missing translations using WPML\u2019s String Translation module as I described for the &#8218;Introductory Message&#8216;. If some strings are missing follow the instructions for <a title=\"Theme and Plugin Localization WPML\" href=\"\/?page_id=2717\" target=\"_blank\">Theme and Plugin Localization<\/a>. In a nutshell, go to <strong>WPML-&gt;Theme and Plugin Localization<\/strong>, and click on \u2018Scan the theme for strings\u2019. In the same manner you can control how the custom fields are being handled for transaltion by clicking on <strong>Custom fields translation<\/strong> link at the top, for Projects you can set 3 custom fields:<strong>_client<\/strong>, <strong>_project_image_gallery<\/strong>, &amp; in the admin screen and now &#8211; as in any &#8217;normal&#8216; page or post we can duplicate, or translate any existing Project, create a new one in any language we like to, and very important &#8211; <strong>_url<\/strong> fields to make sense left not translated &#8211; you can still change these in the translated post page but we don&#8217;t really need them translated.<\/p>\n<h2>Styling the language switcher<\/h2>\n<p>Last but not least, let&#8217;s make a small tweak to have WPML languages switcher perfectly integrated in Stitched main navigation. WPML language switcher has added classes to it that can be styled according to your needs, you can even create a whole <a title=\"Custom language switcher WPML\" href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/documentation\/getting-started-guide\/language-setup\/language-switcher-options\/custom-language-switcher\/\">custom language switcher<\/a> if you want too.
