Overview of the issue

When editing pages in the backend using the Enfold theme with WPML, a PHP warning appears:
Warning: Undefined variable $translate_class in /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-wpml/class-avia-wpml.php on lines 811 and 816.

This issue is caused by the incorrect use of a variable in the Enfold theme’s WPML integration file.

Workaround

Please, make sure of having a full site backup of your site before proceeding.

  • Open the …/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-wpml/class-avia-wpml.php file.
  • Look for line:
    1
    $$translate_class = avia_font_manager::get_frontend_icon_classes( $translate['font'], 'string' );
  • Replace with:
    1
    $translate_class = avia_font_manager::get_frontend_icon_classes( $translate['font'], 'string' );

We’ve informed the Enfold theme developers of this issue so the fix can be included in an upcoming theme update.
