Translation jobs are stuck in "Pending for review" status

Overview of the issue

If you switch from Review the translations before publishing to Publish translations without reviewing on the WPML → Settings page, some translation jobs may remain with a Pending for review status, even if the translation was finished and reviewed.

Workaround

Please, make sure to make a full backup of your site before proceeding:

1. Go to WPML → Settings → Translation Mode.
2. Select:
   • Translate Everything
   • Review the translations before publishing
3. Open the stuck page, make a small change and wait for it to show the review option.
4. Accept the translation and the database value will be set correctly.
