Resolved

Reported for: WPML Multilingual CMS 4.5.0

Resolved in: 4.5.1

Overview of the issue

Since WPML 4.5 the Translations Management add-on is part of the WPML Multilingual CMS plugin. If you use WPML 4.5 you do not need the separate Translation Management plugin at all.

If your site uses WPML 4.5 and you try to activate the Translation Management 2.10.8 plugin using WP CLI, you will see this error:

PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare initialize_wpml_cache_factory() (previously declared in \wp-content\plugins\sitepress-multilingual-cms\vendor\wpml\tm\plugin.php:31) in \wp-content\plugins\wpml-translation-management\plugin.php on line 29

    • Hello!
If you have issues with this, please open a ticket in our support forum.
The issue here is related to activating WPML Translation Management (which is no longer necessary plugin as of WPML 4.5.0 and should not be activated) via WordPress CLI and should be fixed in the WPML 4.5.1 release.
