Resolved

Resolved in: WPML 4.4.4

Overview of the issue

Since WPML 4.4 you can translate taxonomy descriptions and metadata using the Advanced Translation Editor and professional translation services. These descriptions and metadata continue to appear in the Advanced Translation Editor and in XLIFF files, even if you have Don’t include already translated terms in the translation editor checked in WPML → Settings.

Workaround

We are currently working on a fix. In the meantime, this should not cause any issues if you use the Advanced Translation Editor. The Advanced Translation Editor uses translation memory, so once you translate these strings, you don’t need to translate them again.

Most professional translation services also have a translation memory feature, which means you should not be charged to translate the same string more than once. If your translation service does not use translation memory, this issue may cause you to be charged for this string each time.
