Theme Bridge: language switcher does not refresh the URL when using transitions

Overview of the issue

Update (01/09/2020): WPML 4.4.0 offers a feature to detect AJAX navigation and automatically update the language switcher links. This feature needs to be enabled by the theme via a simple filter hook wpml_ls_enable_ajax_navigation. Please contact the theme’s author so he can enable the feature depending on the theme settings. Once the filter will be added in the theme, we’ll mark this errata as resolved.

This issue appears when using the Bridge theme and transitions are set to navigate from one page to another on your site. In this case, you may find that the language switcher always points to the first opened page and you need to reload your site’s page in order to make it work correctly.

Workaround

The Transitions mode from the Bridge plugin is not compatible with WPML at the moment. To allow your users to navigate and switch languages without any issues, please go to your WordPress admin and look for the Qode Options -> General -> Settings -> Page Transition and select the “No animation” option.
