He actualizado el estado de un producto de publico a privado, pero en los idiomas secundarios no se ha actualizado.

He seguido los pasos que me da vuestro soporte IA, en el que me ha comentado que fuerce una actualización de traducción, lo que ocurre es que me dice que tengo que consumir creditos cuando el prodcuto está más que traducido, solo quiero hacer un cambio de estado, de publico a privado...

Hi there!
Thanks for reaching out to WPML Support.

I'm Prosenjit from the WPML Development Team, and I’ll be happy to help you resolve this issue.

Before we continue, I just wanted to mention that my Spanish-speaking colleagues are currently unavailable, which is why I’m replying in English. I hope that’s okay. If you prefer support in Spanish, please let me know in your next response and we’ll see what we can arrange.

I understand the issue. Based on the WPML Debug Information you shared, I can see that the WPML setting responsible for synchronizing the private status is currently not enabled.

When this option is enabled, changing a product/post status in the default language will automatically synchronize the same status across its translations.

Could you please try the following steps?

- Go to WPML > Settings
- Scroll down to Posts and pages synchronization
- Make sure this option is enabled: Synchronize private flag
- Click Save

Then:

- Go to Products
- Find the product you want to make private
- Click Quick Edit
- Set the status to Private
- Save the changes

After doing this, the translated product should also be set to Private.

Please give it a try and let me know how it goes. I’ll be happy to help further if needed.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

No, no se soluciona. Y cuando fuerzo una actualización y voy al panel de traducción...veo que quiere consumir creditos cuando el prodcuto ya está traducido.

Hi!

Thank you for the update!

Please note that you don’t need to send the content for translation at all.

You only need to make sure the WPML setting I mentioned in my last response is enabled. After that, simply go to the product you want to make private, click "Quick Edit", select "Private", and save the changes.

Once saved, the Private status will automatically be synchronized, and the translated version of the product will also have the same status. No need to update the translation.

I’ve attached a screenshot showing exactly what you need to do.

The reason you’re seeing that translation credits are needed for Portuguese and Italian could be because those translations are not fully updated based on the current version of the default language product.

To confirm this, you can open the default language product and the Portuguese/Italian versions side by side and compare them to ensure everything is fully up to date.

Please check and let me know how it goes. I’ll be happy to help or clarify anything if needed.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Los idiomas están actualizados, me pasa siempre, que consume créditos cuando las traducciones están bien, sin actulizaciones en el idioma principal. Si hago una traducción a mano o automática, y luego modifico simplemente un punto en el idioma original, y desde el panel de traducciones fuerzo una actualización, siempre me dice que hay que consumir créditos, y eso no debería pasar.

Por lo demás está ok, se actualiza cuando hago lo que me comentas.

Hi there!

Thank you for the update. I’m glad to hear that enabling the setting helped synchronize the private flag across translations.

Regarding the translation credits — if you manually edit the translated version (for example, deleting or adding some content) and save it, that’s perfectly fine. However, once you make changes in the default language and save, WPML checks whether the translation is fully aligned with the updated default content.

If it detects differences, automatic translation will require credits to update and complete the missing parts.

That said, since you mentioned that both the default and translated versions are fully up to date, I’d like to review this more closely to see what’s actually happening.

Could you please share the link to the page/post where it shows that credits are needed, even though the translation appears fully updated?

I’ll compare both versions side by side and guide you on the next steps.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
