This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client wants to verify the correctness of all translations and configurations in a secondary language before making it available to everyone. They are asking if it is possible to show the secondary language only to administrator users and hide the language switcher from other visitors.
Solution:
We recommend following the steps in our tutorial to hide languages from your visitors on the front end. You can find the tutorial here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/hiding-languages-on-the-front-end/. The option to hide languages is available in WPML → Languages → Hide languages section.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If further assistance is needed, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
