Solution: 1. We identified that the issue was due to the Chinese version of the product being set to redirect to another product that was unavailable. This redirection was configured by the Yoast SEO plugin. 2. We advised the client to go to Yoast SEO > Redirects and delete the redirect if it was found there. Alternatively, the client could reach out to the Yoast Support team for assistance in removing the redirect. 3. After the client's update, we confirmed that the page was loading correctly. We recommended clearing the caches from the site and browser, and also from the server level if applicable, to ensure the changes take effect.

Problem: The client is trying to add different Ninja Tables to posts in different languages using WPML. The first issue is that after adding a Ninja Table to the English post, the traditional Chinese (TCH) translation was lost. The second issue is that after adding a Ninja Table to the TCH post, the content displayed in a mix of English and TCH. Solution: We recommend not mixing translation methods (WPML editor and manual editing) as it can lead to issues like content loss. To resolve this, you should: 1. Choose one method of translation for the page (either WPML editor or manual translation). 2. If you decide to manually edit the second language page, you can disable the WPML editor for that page following this documentation: Using different translation editors for different pages. 3. Continue using the chosen method consistently to avoid further issues. 4. For code modules, manual translation is suggested to prevent code from being improperly translated, which could break the website. Solution:
Backup the site completely to prevent any issues first then:
1. Go to "WPML > Settings" and activate Classic Translation Editor
2. Search for the following three entries - otgs_wpml_tm_ate_cloned_site_lock
- WPML_TM_AMS
- WPML_SITE_ID:ate
(found in the wp_options table)
or run the following database query
select *
from wp_options
where option_name = 'WPML_SITE_ID:ate'
OR option_name = 'WPML_TM_AMS'
OR option_name = 'otgs_wpml_tm_ate_cloned_site_lock'
3. Delete those entries after a database backup.
4. Go to "WPML > Settings" and re-enable ATE
5. Clear/Flush cache if there is any in the site and server.
