Naturally the WPML community couldn\u2019t wait to put it to the test, and we received some excellent feedback that\u2019s helped us to squash one or two more bugs in the system.<\/p>\n<p>The initial beta release had the following issues, which, thanks in part to the great feedback from you guys, have now been taken care of.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Incompatibility with WPML Multilingual &#038; Multicurrency for WooCommerce: you can install either the current release or the beta of WPML Multilingual &#038; Multicurrency for WooCommerce included with this release.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Slow performance when saving a post with a large number of custom fields.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No support for multisite installations.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deleting strings from String Translation not updating the generated .mo file.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Deleting all the strings of a domain not deleting the generated .mo file.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After deleting all the strings of a domain, the .mo files regeneration (see \u201cGeneration of the .mo files\u201d above to find how to regenerate the files) not deleting the corresponding .mo file.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Translated admin texts returned original in icl_translate function (affecting WPML Multilingual &#038; Multicurrency for WooCommerce: \u201cCustom subject of new order emails isn\u2019t translated\u201d).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Recap of WPML 4.3.0 Beta<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t tried it yet, this new version of WPML brings some really impressive performance enhancements to your WordPress websites.<\/p>\n<p>Primarily it\u2019s taking the strain away from translating strings, which can easily number in the tens of thousands if you\u2019re running WooCommerce, or other large scale plugins. We\u2019ve shifted the operation away from the database and toward .mo files, which are automatically generated and maintained by WPML in the background.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Performance tests showed CPU load on various sites being reduced to almost nothing, while cutting load times in half\u00a0 (even less in some cases, like <a href=\"https:\/\/wpml.org\/es\/changelog\/2019\/08\/wpml-4-3-beta-1-with-much-faster-string-translation\/#comment-2465797\">Kristian\u2019s sites<\/a> after he installed the previous 4.3.0 beta).
