Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve an issue with our WordPress site that uses WPML for language translation. We have posts that are incorrectly assigned to two language categories. Our site has a Spanish translation, and there are three affected English posts that are also assigned the Spanish category. I found a thread on WPML's forum and followed the suggested fix, but there's no 'job_listing_category' in the options. The categories in the Taxonomies Translation are already set to Translatable.

Symptoms:
Posts are assigned to two language categories, causing incorrect categorization. The expected 'job_listing_category' option is missing.

Questions:
Why are the English posts also assigned to the Spanish category?
How can I fix the issue of posts being assigned to two language categories?
Why is the 'job_listing_category' option missing in the settings?

Hi Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. I will answer this ticket before it is assigned to one of my colleagues.

Would you please give us the links to the categories int he front end that have the issue?

Also by category do you mean normal WordPress post category? If that is correct then you should not search for any job category.

For now would you please follow the steps below?

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Support > Troubleshooting (link)".
- Click the buttons annotated in the screenshot below one by one and wait for each button process to finish:

Also on the same page there is an option to sync the taxonomies. Please select post for that and click the button

Thanks,
