I am trying to:
Send a translation basket to a translator, but get that error code (29)

Please note:
Last year i startet a test traslation job to get a sample xliff data file, which i provided the translation service.

If i would have been able, i would have deleted all this existing translation jobs (from 2018).

If you can, please set back wpml so this test translation jobs, which are waiting for the translation.

Maybe this is the reason, why i cannot send the selected pages, portfolio items and posts to the "trans line" translation service?

I got a token from them and put it into the destined field. It seems to me the connection to "trans line" works fine?!

P.S. I don't use "Duplicator". I prefere to download files and database by my own to have control what happens and be shure, i have a working copy of the website.

I can see the error on your site. Please see the attached screenshot.
I'm sorry, but something is not clear to me.
Do you want to cancel the jobs in the Translation Basket and not send them at all?
Or maybe you do want to send them to the Transline Deutschland translation service?

i'm really thankful for your support so far!

Sorry when i wasn't clear enough... Let me explain:

At first, i would like to have a cleared translation jobs stack.
In Translationmanagement > Translation Jobs there are already existing tasks which i would like to delete, because it was just a proof-of-concept.

Hint: I deleted the current translation basket by myself.

So, when both (jobs and basket) are empty we can try again to send a test basket to the translation service.

If you would like, you can test a new basket by putting in 1 single page and then send it to the translator (transline Deutschland). Hopely the error disappeared ...

Hi.

The problem of not being able to delete jobs form the Translation Jobs tab is caused by a known issue that we have. Fortunately, it is easy to fix it, and I've already fixed it on your site.
Here what needs to be done.
1. Go to WPML -> String Translation.
2. Find the string 'Local' under the domain 'wpml-translation-management'
3. Translate this string into 'Local'
The problem was that it was translated into 'Lokal' in German.
4. Select the 'Use my translation' checkbox and press the 'Save' button.
Please see the attached screenshot.
Now you should be able to cancel the jobs if they are not finished, of course.
As I've mentioned, I've fixed it on your site.
Please see the attached screenshot.
Can you please confirm that it is OK now?

This issue will be escalated to our developers and fixed in future versions of WPML.

The main issue of this is however not solved the same error (29) still shows when trying to send jobs from the Translation Basket to the Transline Deutschland Translation Service.
I'll consult out Translation Service specialist about this issue and get back to you here when I have an answer from him.

Hi Itamar,
thank you for your work again. So i deleted the existing translation jobs. Now the status of each item changed into "Not translated" instead "Waiting for translator". Is it correct? I mean, i would have expected that the "translation jobs" list would be empty after deleting the items? Anyhow...

But my main problem isn't solved right now. May i ask you if you could figure out the reason why i cannot connect to "translation service"?

Yes, that is correct. The status of the job in the Translation Jobs tab is now 'The job is already canceled' and this is also correct. Please see the attached screenshot.

I'm sorry for not getting back to you with an answer about the error that you are getting when trying to send a job to the Transline Deutschland service. I've now directly escalated this issue to our second tier supporter who handles such cases. I'll also send him s direct message that this issue is waiting for his response. Please note that I've also installed the Duplicator Pro plugin on your site to create a copy of it for debugging purposes.

We'll keep you updated here.

Hi, this is Ahmed Ibrahim from the 2nd tier support team.

Can you please ask LSP (Transline Deutschland) to add language pairs where the source language is set to German (de). Right now, they have pairs where the source language is German (Germany) (de-de).

When it is done, you have to refresh language pairs - WPML > Translation Management > Translation Services > Refresh language pairs button (top right corner of the box with currently activated LSP).

Please let me know if that helps.

Hi Ahmed,
Transline Deutschland did as you have mentioned. They have set as source language (german (de) and as destination language English (en).

I refreshed the language pair and tried to send a new translation basket to "Transline Deutschland". Same error :<

Hint 1:
I was asked by "Transline Deutschland" which type of english i have choosen. I couln'd remember and also i couln'd figure it out in WPML backend. Maybe i've choosen not the "ordinary" english? Could you please be so kind to check out which type of english is used for the pair? I could swear it is English (en) but better make sure.

Hint 2:
When trying to refresh the language pair by clicking on the button, nothing happend. I could click on this button but no success (or error) message was displayed. Maybe here's something wrong? Or is it the expected behavior?

I have to admit, i'm loosing the overview how to solve this issue.
WPML never was my favorite. Way to confusing. Imho it needs a big revision...

Nevertheless i'm very, very thankful for your support and advices. I'm lost without you!

Hi, and sorry for any inconveniences.

To be able to check your language codes, you can go to WPML -> Languages, and click on the "Edit Languages" button and it will show you the language codes.

About the "Refresh language pair" button, It will be better if I can check it myself, so please provide me with temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site in order to provide better help. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

+ Please make sure that you have a full backup of your website and database. (Please don't ignore this)!

When clicking on "Refresh language pairs" I got this message "Sprachpaare aktualisiert", then I went to the Translation basket tab and sent the jobs and they have been sent correctly without issues, check the attached screenshot.

Please check if they arrived at the translation service correctly.

Hi Ahmed,
yesterday i clicked may times on this particular button and i never got a message?! Okay i'm very glad the translation basket has beed send. I've aksed "Transline Deutschland" via E-Mail if they finally got the basket but i assume, they all went into the weekend, because here in Germany we have 06:00 o'clock pm. So i'll keep this treaht open and hope i'll get monday a responce from Transline. So have a nice weekend Ahmed. Best, wp-teo
