I am trying to:
Create a translation page in a different language of a page.

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: -

I expected to see: The page that I created in WordPress (I've been using WPML over 4 years, and suddenly all the translated pages can not be found).

Instead, I got: 404 Page not Found

I have tried;
- resave Permalinks
- Troubleshooting > Clear the cache in WPML
- Troubleshooting > Remove ghost entries from the translation tables
- Troubleshooting > Set language information
- Troubleshooting > Fix post type assignment for translations

It does work, however, when I change the URL to someting else (i.e. change the URL to /applesfromantartica makes the page work).

Hi.

Did you activate the String Translation and Translation Management add-ons as I asked you to do last time?
They are required when working with WPML and the SiteOrigina page builder.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi Itamar,

Thanks for the reply. However, I just checked, and I don't need to translate general texts nor use translation management on my site.

The thing that I'm trying to achieve is https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-page-slugs/

However, this is not working correctly.

In other words, I'm trying to achieve the same Slug across different languages.

I just tried to install the string translation plugin, however, it breaks my site completely and consequently uninstalled it.

I've also tried disabling all the plugins beside WPML and using the standard theme twenty nineteen.

Hi.

You wrote: "In other words, I'm trying to achieve the same Slug across different languages."
Can you please tell me which part of the slug you want to be the same?
If the default language slugs in like that:
hidden link
Then in English, do you want it like this?
hidden link
Where /energiemonitoring/ and /power-quality-monitoring/ are the same in both languages?

I've tried to continue to check things on your site but I can't access it. It seems that the username and password are not correct. Please correct the credentials in the original message.

I look forward to your reply!

Itamar.

Hi Itamar. Can you please remove the links from the website from your reply?

That was an error, solely, the pages uses the same sub slug /abc/url (as in both use abc, but a different /url after).

How can I update the login details so that only you can see them?
