I am trying to: hello, today I did the update and had to find out that when I change to the English language I now get an error message 500 Internal Server Error. I have completed the tutorial (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/cannot-activate-language-directories/) and it still does not work. I do not know what to do, please help!

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

It could be that the link hidden link works, but if you then select a different page via the menu, the error message is guaranteed. regards

Thank you for contacting us. From what I've noticed, when the permalinks are saved, the problem does not happen. Until another page is accessed. This may be caused by some compatibility issue.

Since I do not have FTP access, as a test, please follow the steps on our errata page and see if the problem persists: https://wpml.org/errata/htaccess-is-rewritten-with-language-folder/

After following the steps in our documentation and reset the permalinks again (Settings > Permalinks > Save Change), does the problem persist?

Thank you.
