Hi, do you have any experience with WPML causing reverting a page to default template?
We run a website with WPML and ACF plugins.

Following situation had happened: a page with custom fields reverted to default Template without any cause (we were not working in admin in that time).

Solution was following:
Editing page - changing template to correct template didn't help.
We had to duplicate ACF field group assigned to that template type.
Then re-saved each language version of that page.
After that, page has returned to its original content.

We are looking for the cause of such problem and any tip would be welcome.

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. I will be glad to help with this.

The first cause I can think of is the lack of our glue plugin Advanced Custom Fields Multilingual(ACFML). The plugin handles translation and sync of custom fields between language. The template is a custom field, I can imagine that it was not correctly copied/synced to secondary language.

You are also using an outdated version of WPML. We always recommend updating WPML plugins to latest releases.

Finally, I would like to share our documentation on how to translate websites built with ACF.

I remain at your disposal.

Best regards,
