I am trying to:

Edit the content on a page that has a ACF repeater

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

hidden link

I expected to see:

When I edit the content in the ACF repeater in one language, it doesn't influence the repeater content on the other languages.

Instead, I got:

Sometimes when I add or edit the content on this page, an entire row in the repeater goes blank in another language.

The main language is English. If I change the order of 2 rows of the repeater in French, the order is also switched in German, but it shouldn't be.

Hi,

unfortunately the video is from a client so I can't share it without consent.

This is how we reproduced the issue:
- create an ACF repeater field;
- add two text fields to it - set them to Translate;
- create a new page;
- add two rows on the repeater field;
- translate the page;
- edit the original page;
- switch places of the two rows on the repeater field;
- edit the translation.

Hello,

Yes, that is part of the issue.

At other times, editing the fields for one language, changes them for other languages as well.

When will this issue be fixed? I see that the other ticket has been open for two months.

Thanks,
Ciprian

Hi Ciprian,

I see this is scheduled for ACFML 1.8.0, but the issue shouldn't happen if you're using the Advanced Translation Editor.

How are you translating your content?

Hello,

I'm using the default WordPress translator. If I use WPML's Translation Editor, instead of images I see IDs.

Can you help me with that?

Thanks,
Ciprian

Hi Ciprian,

can you send me some screenshots of this?

In the wordpress editor I have the image, but in the advanced wpml editor I see no images.

Hi,

that's expected. You will never see images in the Advanced editor, even if you add it to the post itself and not in a field.

If you need to use different images, you can translate them with the add-on WPML Media Translation.

Hello,

When will ACFML 1.8.0 be released?

The advanced wpml editor is a pain to use compared to the regular WordPress editor.

Thanks,
Ciprian

Hi Ciprian,

we just released ACFML 1.7.0, so we don't have an estimated time for 1.8.0 yet.
