This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.

Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem: Client had trouble registering WPML/WPML Addon plugins. He reported that he is redirected to toolset registration page instead of WPML registration page.

Solution: Unregister WPML and Register again. Go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/ There you should be able to see your site registered (unless u never register your site before)

Then click on the little trash icon. Click the “Add new site” button and put in the site URL. Click “Add” Take note of the site key. Click “Show key” to view it.

Go back to site Plugins > Add new > Commercial and Click “Register WPML”. Enter the site key and click Ok. That should register WPML CMS and WPML add-on plugins.

I am trying to: Activate the two add-ons we bought recently (1.String Translation and Translation management)

Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:

Instead, I got: When I click on the register link on the plugins page, it took me to a page where it says Toolset activation and I tried our existing site key and its working. Register on site link took me to a different site.

https://toolset.com/

Please check and help with activation.

Hello,

Thank you for reaching WPML Support. I am glad to help you.

This is pretty strange…or it could be that you have clicked the wrong button. Please see the attached screenshot.

Note: the highlighted portion of the image is the registration for Toolset.

Please note that if you already have WPML registered your website all WPML add-on plugins installed are registered as well. You can check if your copy of WPML is registered to your website at Dashboard > Plugins and search for “WPML Multilingual CMS” you should find a text “Registered” under it.

If it’s not registered, you can follow this documentation on how to register WPML. Also to make sure you’re registering the right product please check this documentation.

https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/#register

To activate WPML String Translation and WPML Translation management. Given that you have installed them already, go to Dashboard > Plugins and find these plugins and click Activate.

You can also verify your WPML website registration on wpml.org. Just log in to your wpml.org account then on your Profile name > Click My Sites. You should be able to see your website URL.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

We are not that bad with clicking on links. I have attached a screenshot of the links which redirects us to Toolset.

Please let us know if you need WP access to check further.

Thanks!

Hi,

Referring to your screenshot, you’ve got WPML CMS registered while WPML add-on plugins unregistered.

Can you please try to go to Plugins > Add new > Commercial tab then remove your current registration key and enter a new one or just create a new one.

Please go to https://wpml.org/account/sites/
There you should be able to see your site registered (unless u never register your site before)

Then click on the little trash icon.
Click the “Add new site” button and put in your site URL. Click “Add”
Take note of the site key. Click “Show key” to view it.

Go back to your site Plugins > Add new > Commercial and Click “Register WPML”. Enter the site key and click Ok. That should register WPML CMS and WPML add-on plugins.

Please refer to attached images for reference.

After successfully registering WPML and its addon plugins, I would recommend you to update WPML CMS. Please be sure to secure a complete site backup before proceeding.

https://wpml.org/faq/install-wpml/

Let me know the results.

We would like to help you with the other issues you had with the WPML plugins. However, for support rules, we are able to handle only one issue at the time. This would help us to bring you a better service and also help other users to find all the information here exposed. For that reason, I have to kindly ask you to open a new thread if you need further assistance.

Kind regards,
Dennis
