Tell us what you are trying to do? I have a 2 languages website, it is the main language, en the second one. Ok for using /en in permalink, but what if I need /it for primary language? How can I get it?

Is there any documentation that you are following? No

Is there a similar example that we can see? Yes, now: hidden link

What is the link to your site? up

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

What you would need to do in order to accomplish that is to go to WPML > Languages and check the "Use directory for default language" box.

Now all the links that are using the IT language will contain "/it" in the link.

There is also some helpful documentation about this topic in the link below in case you want to take a look:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/directory-default-language/

Please let me know if this solved your issue or if you still need help.

I will be waiting for your response.

Kind regards,

Mihai Apetrei
