The theme used supports WPML.
I would like to know how to set the language switch in the header to the left of the theme.

Hi and thank you for contacting WPML Support!

I will be happy to help you with this.

First of all, thank you for your patience and sorry for the delay - there's a good amount of tickets in our queue so it takes a bit longer to respond.

Now, regarding the issue that you are currently experiencing, from what I can see in our official WPML-compatible plugins repository here (https://wpml.org/documentation/plugins-compatibility/), the theme that you are using (rt theme 20) is not part of the list.

This doesn't mean that the theme is not compatible with our plugins. It could be 100% compatible, partially compatible or non-compatible - not being part of that list simply means that this theme has not been tested by our developers and the developers have never been part of our Global program.

As a first recommendation, I would like to suggest you contact the plugin authors and recommend them to join our 'Go Global' program (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/) where our Compatibility developers will help them make their plugin 100% compatible with WPML for free.

Also, adding the menu in the header section might require custom code (if the theme doesn't have a way to add a language switcher there).

Here is some documentation about how to add language switchers by using WPML:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/language-switcher-options/

Also, here is some documentation regarding how to add custom language switchers inside your theme:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/custom-language-switcher/

Another alternative for this custom request is to contact a WPML Contractor from our Contractors list here in case you would prefer that option: https://wpml.org/contractors

I hope that you will find this information helpful.

Please let me know if you still have questions regarding this matter.

Kind regards,
Mihai Apetrei
