Same issue, 3rd ticket...

Adding a translation for an image associated with a page (for whatever language) breaks to content of each translation to the original one: content, layout, medias, ...). It doesn't seem to depend on whether "Use WPML's Translation Editor" is toggled or not.
That's a HUGE waste of time, and makes my content very unstable.

My process
1. I create my first page withElementor in french, and upload images along
2. I duplicate the content, and edit it independently to translate it in American
3. I add translations to images. Straight away, American content get back to french
