One thing that is also unexpected is that the JS calendar on the homepage doesn't translate anymore in staging (only) but it works in production. Since I never translated these strings manually, I suspect they were in files provided by the theme developper. Is it possible that these files were removed somehow?

Hold on, let me check. I did remove some translation files earlier. Let me restore it from the backup for the theme only.

Ok, please check again. If all is good, backup and deploy to production.

Things are much better now, thanks. The issues are revolved in production, but I still have the same issues in stage. Every time I deploy to production, I'm asked if I want to update the PO files, which solves everything. Is there a way to trigger this update on the staging, in order for the problem to be solved there as well and stop the question being asked when I deploy? Thanks.

Thanks for your reply.

Glad to hear that the production is working fine. I'm not so sure which update PO option you're referring to but you can find a similar option in WPML > Support > Troubleshooting > Display the create custom MO file pr-create dialog box.

When I click on it, I see the wheel spinning, the page reloads, but nothing happens.

This seems liked a cached version, try logged in. I will also clear the cache.

Ok, I can see the issue now. Could you update the credentials for your staging site again?

Thanks for your reply.

Could you check your staging site? It seems to work fine when I deactivated some plugins. Probably some cache issues?

Well you deactivated almost all my plugins. The issue is that it works fine on production with the same plugins I had activated.

Thanks for your reply.

I can see that you've reactivated all the plugins and the translations are displaying now. Are you able to identify which 3rd party plugin is causing the issue?
