hello,

I have logged in as admin and from website username button(hover) > dashboard, update profile, logout (At right corner drop down).

1) From homepage when i clicked on update profile its loading to dashboard itself with URL hidden link
2) But when i clicked update profile from dashboard page with a drop down (hamburger Menu) next to profile icon it loads to profile details page of admin with URL hidden link

And what actually i need is, as i said in 2nd point should do same from 1st point i.e from homepage menu. But i observed in URL ?lang=en is text differ in link which might be effecting to load the page from homepage.

We had contact Theme support(ListingPro) and they replied as below :

We have spent almost an hour on this but we are not able to configure as its not getting managed from our theme or its code, This language parameters are passed from WPML Plugin which you need to configure it from the plugins settings.

The parameters of language are not getting passed correctly due to which its not loading the page correctly. You can get help from WPML plugin support.

Kindly please assist,

Thank you.

Hello,

As said earlier, I would need to take a detailed look in your WordPress Dashboard in order to understand the details of this issue, for that, please consider:

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. I took a detailed investigation in your website using the migrated website and the issue indeed seems to be a compatibility issue as it is also reproduced in a clean sandbox test install. I forwarded this ticket to our compatibility team, I will update you here as soon as we have some more details regarding this issue. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding, have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for your continued patience while waited for a solution. I got some more details from our compatibility team and here is what you should try:

1 - Browse to the 'wp-content/themes/listingpro/' directory and find the line 998 in the 'functions.php' file, where it reads:

$url = $url.'?lang='.ICL_LANGUAGE_CODE;

Replace it with:

$url = apply_filters( 'wpml_permalink', $url);

IMPORTANT: Please, note, a backup is required for security reasons and to avoid any data loss, you can use the https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/ plugin for these backup needs.

2 - Save the file and try the user menu of your website again.

Note: Remember to keep a backup copy of the edited file somewhere in case of theme updates, this way you won't have to edit the mentioned file again.

Please, let me know if it works for you, have a nice day.

Hello,

We have to replace the above code in functions.php file right?

And we have found in that file and replaced with given code which is working now as required.

Thank you for assisting and resolving issue.
