I am trying to: Use select 2 on an admin page with advanced custom fields

Link to a page where the issue can be seen: /

I expected to see: A correct working select2 input field

Instead, I got: it looks good, but when selection, i see the error attached

Probably because WPML is using version 3 and ACF is using version 4 of select2.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support!

Can I ask you to create an example here?

I'd like to see in which scenario exactly this happens, how to emulate this, so that I can send this to our ACF developers. This is a clean sandbox installation and I already installed ACF Pro and WPML plugins, everything is configured as well, so you just need to create that field group and set whichever scenario triggers this issue.

Strange, in the sandbox it's working fine.
As far as I see, all the versions are the same.

However, the select2 is rendered differently, but i don't know why.
See images attached.

Do you have an idea why?

Hi,

I'm not sure what could be behind this - maybe some other plugin on your site altering this behaviour? Or maybe something within the theme you are using, doing the same thing?

Maybe the fact that our sandbox is using Gutenberg, maybe something is doing because of it?

Fixed it by changing the class 'select-selecting' into 'select-selection' right into acf-input.min.js
Dirty fix though, but it works..

Hi,

Ok, great to hear that you find a solution, I'm really not sure what is this related to since I wasn't able to reproduce on a clean install.

I'm marking this thread as resolved!
