Hi Beverly,

Are you using the WPML Compatibility Tools Test Plugin? http://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-compatibility-test-tools-plugin/ It seems that you generated translations via this plugin while they had the template [%language_code%] %original_string% This caused the [sv] in front of your translated strings.

WPML CTT gets string from original language and creates translation (if translation already exists it will be overridden) WPML CTT is only for testing and should help you quickly generate translations. Never use this on production on a website where you've already added some translations manually and do not want to lose them.

In order to fix this you can:
- Go to WPML - String Translations
- Search for the original string (in English)
- Delete [sv] from the translations
- Save

If you do not have any manually added sv string translations, you could auto generate the string translations via WPML CTT with a %original_string% template. However we do not recommend WPML CTT for use in production sites.

Thanks,
Denise

hi

that seems to be the case, yes we used the WPML CTT.

we can not fix this by searching all orignal strings and delete [sv] from the translations , because its more than 700 translations so it will take us weeks/months.

is there a more automatic way to find all " [sv] " and automatically remove them / replace with " " ?

Hi Beverly,

I mentioned that you could remove these automatically with WPML CTT above. You could auto generate the string translations via WPML CTT with a %original_string% template. Please keep in mind that this would overwrite any translations that you made manually.

Thanks,
Denise
