Hi,
To enable automatic translation using WPML, your default language (English) needs to be mapped to a supported language. In the screenshot you shared, English is not mapped, which is why you're seeing the message.
Here’s what to do:
1. Map English and other active languages:
On the WPML language settings page, use the "Language mapping" dropdown to map:
- English → map to English
- French → map to French
- Do the same for any other languages you'd like to support with automatic translation.
2. Check WPML’s supported language list:
Go to hidden link to see which languages and translation pairs are supported by WPML's automatic translation engine.
3. Make sure automatic translation is available for your language pairs:
Not all combinations are supported, especially with the AI translation engine. You can refer to this image for guidance: hidden link
Once the mapping is done correctly, automatic translation should be available for your content.
Let me know if you need help checking the mappings or supported pairs.
