Problem: Automatic update for multisite wordpress Solution: you need to enter the main site dashboard and not network admin. Activate WPML on main site, go to network admin and commercial tab (plugins -> add new) and update from there

Dear,

I have the WPML plugins installed on a multisite environment BUT not activated on network level (only for some subsite)s. How can I do the plugins update on network? There is no commercial tab allowing me to register the plugins on network level.

Thx!

Thx Bruno but none of those topics answered my question.
As said, there is no commercial tab on the network dashboard . (even if you go to plugins -> add new). No register link too.

Thx!

Hi,

In order to debug this issue further quickly, would you be willing to provide me with temporary WordPress admin username so I could investigate the issue directly?

Please make a full backup of your site before sharing this info!

You can use plugins such as UpdraftPlus WordPress Backup Plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) or ask your host to perform a site backup.

Bruno,

Sorry but I can not provide you with such access. I have access to everything (even to the server as it's mine) so please ask me what you need as info.
I think it's easy to reproduce as issue: just install a wordpress multisite environment and add WPML plugins without enabling them on network level.

Thx!

Hi,

No problem about that - see here.

without enabling them on network level.

From what I see, this is not multisite thing, but it generally how WPML works. Even if you deactivate WPML on non-multisite, commercial tab will not be visible because the core features that are responsible for rendering what you see on commercial when WPML is active are also disabled.

So I see this as a regular WPML functionality.

You have network-enabled the WPML plugin, which means that any sites on this wordpress must be configured as multilingual website. But in my case, I do not want to do that as not all sites have multiple languages but I still want to get the automatic update. So how should I proceed?

Thx!
