i have a issue regarding language switching in backend. It seem the language gets globally set independent of the language of the current tab.

For example:
1) Open a page to edit in the primary language.
2) Open a page in a new tab in secondary language.
3) Switch back to the page in primary language ( first tab ).
4) Insert a page link and you get the link in secondary language.

This also happens for post relationships with p.e. types.

Hi Michael,

You can define the WP backend language from your profile page.
In your profile settings you can select the language but leave the "Set admin language as editing language." option unchecked to prevent from changing automatically as you describe. See the attached image below as a reference.
