I have a beaver builder layout, which shows on page A-en in default language.
-> when I translate page A-en to A-de, the layout doesn't show
-> I change the settings, so I could translate layouts as well
-> I change the content, but the layout still doesn't show, until I change the beaver builder layout location to page A-de.
I kind of expected to see the layout without changing the location to the translated page.

In my case, I have three layouts, that I have to show for 10 specific pages (not all pages). Now, do I have to translate all the layouts, and then for all the translations, add the translated pages (like A-de) as locations? Is there a better way?

Hello,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Before giving you a detailed and accurate answer I would need to replicate this workflow as I am fully familiriazed with all the Beaver Builder functions and features. For that, please, provide me with the full steps on how to reproduce it in your website using a test post/page and provide me some WordPress Dashboard access for that, following these instructions: I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:
https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello,

Thank you for the provided details. I took a detailed look in your website settings and noticed actually the layout locations are defined as custom fields, in this case you are able to globally define the behavior of custom fields for your translations, please, proceed this way:

1 - In your WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation click the blue link 'Show system fields' to show all the custom fields provided by Beaver Builder.

2 - In the list of custom fields search for the '_fl_theme_builder_locations' and check it as 'copy', save your changes.

3 - Now for every theme layout you don't see the layout location being replicated to your translations click to update it (this step will make sure the '_fl_theme_builder_locations' value is copied for your translations, this way you wouldn't need to manually update your translated theme layouts location values)

See: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-fields/

Please, let me know if it helps, have a nice day.

Do I understand correctly that this solution is for a theme or template with Beaver theamer? What about a page built with Beaver Builder directly without Theamer. Is there a different way or field to update that. I have a translated page that does not update layout changes.

Also I have some containers saved side wide in Beaver builder they came in the translation editor i edited the text but they do not show the translated language. Is there some similar work around I need to do for them?
