This is simply a feature request; I'm scratching my head as to why there aren't any third-party language switcher options for WPML.

The language switcher built into the plugin is fine, functional, but it's pretty vanilla and there are much more elegant, modern options out there. Many of us don't want to go through and manually play with styles / integration anytime we use the plugin...

Please shed some light on this, or point me to some options.

Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the WPML support!

And thanks a lot for the suggestions, they are always welcome.

You can create your own language switcher. Please take a look at this documentation:
https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/custom-language-switcher/

And WPML provides lots of hooks so third party plugins can easily integrate with it:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-coding-api/wpml-hooks-reference/#top

Did this information point you in the right direction? If this is not what you are asking, can you please elaborate a little more so I can better understand?

Kind Regards,

Otto

It seems to be something that most other framework wide WP plugins offer (woocommerce etc.); it just seems strange that there's no pre-styled language switcher plugin options.

Thanks anyway
