This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
I added La button modules to the homepage and I want to translate the title and the link.

Solution:
You'll see these two elements available for translation once you copy this little piece of XML configuration to Dashboard → WPML → Setting → Custom XML Configuration:

<wpml-config>
    <shortcodes>
        <shortcode>
            <tag>la_btn</tag>
            <attributes>
                <attribute>title</attribute>
                <attribute>link</attribute>
            </attributes>
        </shortcode>
    </shortcodes>
</wpml-config>

I tried to translate buttons.

I've added to my XML, my XML looks like this now.

<wpml-config>
<shortcodes>
<shortcode>
<tag>la_heading</tag>
<attributes>
<attribute>title</attribute>
</attributes>
</shortcode>
<shortcode>
<tag>a.btn</tag>
<attributes>
<attribute>title</attribute>
</attributes>
</shortcode>
</shortcodes>
</wpml-config>

Still not working.

Hey,

Is there any chance that you could give me a link to the page where I can see the buttons you'd like to translate, please? Also, it would be great if you could give me access to the dashboard area too. This way, I can check how they've been created and look for the right way to make the translation possible.

The next reply is set to be private so you can safely send me the credentials.

Thanks,
Radu

Hey,

Thank you for sending me the access to the dashboard!

Now, can you share a link to a page where I can see the buttons that you want to translate, please?

Thanks,
Radu

Hey,

I checked the custom XML configuration you added to the website and I could see that the wrong tag was added for the button (it was a.btn instead of la_btn). Now, can you edit the original page, make a small change to it (like adding another point at the end of a paragraph), save the changes, and try again to edit the translations, please? This time you should see the text of the buttons available for translation. Just give this a try and tell me how it goes.

Thanks,
Radu

Thanks. This works...

How can I change specific link of the buttons?
Now the links are static, so they link to the german version even if I'm in english. How can I change that?

Hey,

Can you do the same change as I suggested on the previous message, please? I added the link to the XML config too so this time you should see it available for translation.

Thanks,
Radu

Done that... Translations are correct now.

But the links of the button are targeting the static german versions...

Hey,

Can you edit again the English translation of the homepage, please? Now you should see some fields that contain the link of the buttons, available for translation. Please have a look.

Thanks,
Radu
