Hi!

I gave a translation job from our development site to onehourtranslation. Now the new site is online with a new domain. OneHourTranslation sent the translation files to the development-site. On my live site, the translation job is still pending.

Now I want to cancel the translation job manually on my live site and import the xliff manually. WPML says, I can't import the xliff, because I am not the owner of it.

So I guessed, I do the translation with the advanced translation editor. Also this is not possible, the translation is still in progress.

What can I do? And what is the right workaround, when I go from develop-site to live-site?

Regards
Jörg

Hi, Jörg.

If I understand your case, properly then you need to 'fetch the translations manually'.
Please read about it in our documentation here.
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/handling-translation-jobs-within-production-staging-and-development-sites/
Is this information helpful to you?
Or maybe this is what you are trying to do and is not working for you.

Regards,
Itamar.

Hello Itamar!

No, that doesn't solve my problem. The problem is that I cannot import the translation files into Live WordPress. WPML tells me that the translations do not belong to me.

I have now found a way to abort the translation job on onehourtranslation and assign it to myself. Unfortunately, I cannot import the xliff file from onehourtranslation. I now solve this by manually transferring the content of the xliff file manually.
The workaround is very cumbersome, but I can't find another way.

Thanks and greetings
Jörg

Hi, Jörg.

Thanks for sharing with me all the details.

Do you still need help on this issue?
I understand that the workaround that you have found is cumbersome. But had this solved the issue for you? Or do you have other content to import and still need help from me on how to do that?
If so, then I'll need to consult our Translation Service specialist.
Please let me know the exact steps on how to replicate this issue and I'll continue to check it.

Note: I'll be able to reply on Sunday.

Regards,
Itamar.
